KAWASAKI W800

A TRUE CLASSIC BY DESIGN AND JUST A BRILLIANT BIKE TO RIDE

The Kawasaki W800 is the latest offering in the W Series range which I believe started way back in the 1960s.I actually own three motorcycles a Triumph Street Triple R which I have now owned for about 12 months and a Suzuki GSR 750 so as you can see I sort of get the best of all worlds with one being  a sports bike and the other a cruiser type bike and the other coming somewhere in the middle, funnily enough though I don't really have a favorite I just love em' all.The W800 is just about the perfect bike for cruising in my book  it's has a very comfortable seat and with the upright riding position makes for no back aches and the like, it will also sit on 100 kmph all day and never miss a beat.I have made a couple of small modifications to mine like a Dart Fly Screen and a Renntec Chrome Carrier Rack but probably the biggest change I made to the bike was to replace the stock exhaust system with a Staintune system and now it sounds like it should have when it left the showroom ,overall though I couldn't be happier with the bike.Maintenance is not a problem but lubing the chain can take a bit longer than most other bikes with the exhaust system being in the way of the chain. The other thing that I really do like about the bike is that their is no plastic on it at all every part is made of metal which in itself is very unusual these days. The chrome mudguards and mirrors, alloy spoke wheels plus the WSeries badges ,ripple seat and round head light really do add to the old world charm of the bike add to that a very reasonable asking price of around $12000 AUD and you have the complete package.
